Kenshin's Tender Embrace

This...this took me only 6 hours and I've gotta say that I'm mostly happy over the turnout. I'd really wanted to draw something from Kenshin, cause it was my first anime love back in the day, and I have a habit with getting reobsessed with things... this is just no exception because well, Kenshin is the best thing since sliced bread/bread in a can. Do they even HAVE bread in a can...? o_O never mind that then...
This scene was when Kenshin said goodbye to Kaoru...ep 31 in the anime, volume 7 in the manga, yeah. I really thought this was touching of Kenshin (for those of you who have seen the blasted anime/manga anyway).... I like how he held her before he left, at least he gave her that much. The first time I saw ep 31, oh poo, I cried, I really did It was just too sad >_< for me anyway And the fact that he cares about her is apparent, which made it even more sad, because you could tell that she already loves him, ARG! So I felt compelled to draw it! I had this idea formulating in my head for a while, that I would show both sides of the embrace in one picture, and I was able to do it!
Ah yes, the japanese in the center says thank you for everything. Another sad and mushy touch to the picture. I tried to make things fade when they got more towards the middle of the picture, I think I was successful?
